More Pics of Baby Owyn!

This boy came out sucking his hand and has not stopped since. Chelsea decided to give his fingers a break and let him suck on hers.

Owyn is a super quiet baby so far. I reminded Chelsea of the Look Who's Talking movie when little Mickey figures out when I cry mommy comes. Hmm "Cry" "Mommy"......WAAAAAA
Chelsea's grandma Irene came to see her great grandson and I captured this sweet picture.

Quality Time with my Nephews

I spent Thursday afternoon in the pool with my three energetic and adorable nephews, AJ, Alec and Devon. We had so much fun goofing around and going down the water slide. I can't believe how much AJ is growing up! He is going to be thirteen soon and in junior high school. I have been fortunate enough to have been a part of these boys' lives since the moment they were born and miss them dearly since moving to Colorado. They better convince their parents to come visit me!

Baby Owyn has Arrived!

Baby Owen was born on Tuesday July 21, 2009 at 6:51 pm weighing in at 6 lbs 9oz and measuring 19 3/4 inches long. He is healthy and absolutely adorable! Chelsea made labor and delivery look easy while she laughed off and on and visited with our crazy huge family who gathered around bedside while she was in labor. I can't believe I am a grandma! I feel like Chelsea was just born and now she is a mother. More pictures to come!!

Our First Grandson is on His Way!

Tomorrow all the excitement begins! I will accompany Chelsea to her doctor appointment in the morning and later we will head to the birthing center where they will be inducing labor. The little guy will most likely make his entrance on Tuesday. The next post will definitely include an announcement of his birth with a picture. I am so excited! Chelsea has been busy making all of the last minute preparations and worried she is forgetting something. After spending the last few days with Chelsea I realize she is as prepared and ready to be a mother as someone who planned their pregnancy. Thanks to all the great family and friends this kid has plenty of clothes, diapers, blankets and all the necessities. Wishes for a mild labor and healthy baby!!

Whitney's dog Lola has been giving me plenty of love, boy is she a lover!

Master Bedroom "Lighten Up" Project

Being the busybody that I am is so difficult while being unemployed and broke! I have so many ideas for projects to do around the house during my unemployment however, with no job I have hardly any cash at all. I have been selling things on Craigslist and Ebay to liquidate random things and bring in cash however, I will eventually run out of items to sell. Hopefully by then the recession will end and Sean and I will have jobs again. Until then to keep myself busy, Scott has often questioned why I do not know how to just chill or relax. I can't I always have to be doing something. I have rearanged rooms cleaned out closets, painted every room at least two times. When I have a new plan for a room I search ever closet, the basement, thrift stores looking for items for my new project.
For my master bedroom I wanted to create a serene peaceful and open place to relax in case I ever decide to. So I picked another color from the Ralph Lauren Modern Light collection called Beach Water (Sounds relaxing). Our room is quite small for a master bedroom so I tried a trick I saw on HGTV and added floor to ceiling curtains. I bought the curtains at Bed Bath and Beyond with 20% coupons. Scott and I had to stand in line with one curtain and I with the other so we could use multiple coupons. The cashier looked at me funny and said just this one? The only other purchase for the room were the throw pillows I found on clearance at TJ Max. Everything else was already in the room or recycled from another room in the house or extra stuff in the storage room from our old Mesa, AZ house. I finally won the battle with Scott to remove the computer desk from the room arguing the bedroom is for rest. We do not have a television or a computer in our bedroom and I love it!!!! I still want to add some character to the room and I am thinking of a personal art project for above the bed and crown molding. Someday?
The picture here was taken at night with our energy saving lights on while the pictures above were taken in the early evening with sunlight coming into the room.

Too Busy To Post Lately

I am such a control freak, yes I realize and admit this slight flaw in my character. Otherwise, I am not too annoying. I will go way out of my way to help almost anyone, I am very honest (I actually can't lie at all), I avoid conflict at all costs (total people pleaser), I try not to inconvenience anyone including workers at a recycling plant. I insist we clean our recycled materials such as soda cans and sauce jars so it will be easier for those who have to separate them and get frustrated when Scott and Sean don't. I try to follow the words of the good book at all times. I don't abuse my body with smoking, drugs or alcohol, tattoos, or cosmetic surgeries. I will not cheat, lie or steal.

Okay so now that you forgot about my one little flaw. I can explain why I have been so busy. My daughter Chelsea is having her baby sometime in the next three weeks and I must get to Arizona to support her in this incredible event! How can I leave, my house, the bills, laundry, grocery shopping, and more importantly Scott, Sean, Sparky and my little princess Millie? So I have been stocking up on groceries, cleaning every inch of the house, washing all blankets, towels, and even the blinds. I paid all the bills for the next month, finally got Sean's car fixed, took both dogs to the vet and tried to get ahead on homework. I'm sure there is so much I am missing but you get the idea. I am crazy busy trying to make sure everything will run smoothly at the house when I leave and limit the amount of things to take care of when I return.

For those of you looking for a picture, our garden is flourishing with the record amount of rain we received last month. We have green peppers and zucchini ready as well many herbs. Too bad I will be leaving when the eating is just getting good!

I also painted my bedroom last week in my "Lighten up the House" project and will post pics of that soon. We have not finished the laminate wood floor, that will have to be postponed until my return.
